Poppin bottles

Happy New Year to you and yours from the Schleicher family.  Put on your red lips and party like it's 1999...or send the kids to the Grandparents and eat a lot of mexican food.  Either way, have fun and be safe!

Friday Faves-Moorea Seal

Black Arrowhead Necklace
Amethyst Round Ring - Brass
Amethyst heart Ring - brass
Triple Quartz Spike Necklace - Gold
Need I say more?  I love her jewelry.  I have one of her headpieces and I adore it.  Next on my list is the the black arrowhead necklace.  You can visit her shop here and her blog here.

It's Friday!  My son has a birthday party on Sunday.  They are seeing Rise of the Guardians.  He is pretty peeved that I am going.  I even promised to sit in the back and ignore him.  I can't lie...I really just want to watch a movie and eat popcorn.  Embarrassing him is just payback for all the yelling and cleaning and cooking he makes me do.  Ahhh, it's good to be mom.  xoxo, Amy

Music Monday

Here's another one of the songs I couldn't get enough of back in the day.  20 years later I can still remember all the words.  Now I find myself saying things like "rap just isn't the same as it was back in the day".  I sound like my parents...but leave out the rap part.  Now I get into my mom's car and she's got an Outkast cd in...or misses my call because her radio is up too loud.  What the hell?

Thrifted Thursday

I haven't posted many thrift posts lately and it's certainly not for lack of thrifting.  We have our house on the market...still...and it's a nightmare trying to keep it clean.  So I haven't taken many good photos after my thrift adventures.   Here's a little peak at some of my finds.
That's a full set of Raggedy Ann and Andy sheets, with curtains and 2 bedspreads.  Some tree curtains...because, well...because I couldn't say no, and a few dresses.
some pink snack sets and 2 Club pots.  My mom had Club pots and they bring back such good memories.  I rarely see them, but when I do, I can't resist.  So far I have a couple pink ones, a light blue and now these two!
My son spotted this trampoline and my sister in law has been needing one.  They are crazy expensive brand new and they use it for their pool in the summer.  It's caused numerous fights, a lot of yelling, and is used to threaten them into good behavior.  Probably wasn't a great idea to bring it home first. It is fun though.  And see the pink hula hoop?  Another score.

A melamine serving dish, I have little saucer in the same pattern.  I can't seem to pass up these old vinyl cases.  I have good intentions to paint them or something...just haven't gotten around to it.
These amazing little white dresses for my stinker.
and this one for me!  Anyone find any good stuff lately? I would love to hear, leave a link in the comments so I can check it out!  xoxo, Amy

Travel Tuesday

I have to travel for work every couple weeks and two weeks ago I went to Boston for the first time.  The city was absolutely amazing.  I tried to cover as much ground as possible because I am never away for long.  I rented a bike from bike share and am completely sold.  I was way excited when we got one in KC. While I may never use our local bike share, there is nothing better than seeing another city on a bike.

crazy cool window display at All Saints Clothing.

Boston is no doubt the most bike friendly city i've ever visited. People were nice too. Within 5 minutes of being there someone said quarter and it made me giggle.  xoxo, Amy

Music Monday

For the next few Monday's I'm going to post some of my most favorite songs from the old school.  I played this so much in '93 I should have worn out the cd (that I played on my boombox).  Yes, we had cd's back then young folks and we played them on boombox's.

Not so tiny dancer

I've never seen a happier girl.  She loves dance so much.  She smiles the entire time.  She pays attention.  It's really amazing.  Heart swelling.  I hope she loves it forever.
